Internet Marketing Lessons Online – Self Study Phase

Learning from the experience off my initial online business projects, I decided to search for Information on Internet Marketing online. I started on a self study journey. I found a handful of blogs and websites that provided me with a multitude of knowledge about Internet Marketing.

In my bid to obtain as much information as I can possibly get off the internet, I downloaded numerous eBooks about internet marketing and online business. I enlisted into every other mailing lists that offers free eBooks. I joined several JV Giveaway events. I got into a routine of download ebook, read ebook, download ebook, read ebook. However, soon after that, it became more of just download, download, and more downloads.

My email was filled up with AutoResponder emails from all the list I joined. My inbox was filling up faster than I could clear it. I’m receiving like about 200+ emails from all the various internet marketing lists daily. It took me a couple of hours just to clear my daily inbox.

With most of the time spent on just clearing my inbox, I didn’t have time to read the ebooks which I’ve downloaded. My disk drive is now filled with various Internet Marketing eBooks. I’ve got so many now, I don’t even know which ones to read first. Maybe I should create an eBook of my own.

To make time for reading, I thus then got into the practice of just skimming through the emails and related websites. If the subject matter is new, I’d spend more time on it. Otherwise, I’ll just glance through and delete it. The same goes with the eBooks I’ve downloaded. I would just skim through the pages and quickly absorb the information. Once done, I would move on to the next eBook.

Then it occured to me. I now have all these information and resources on Internet Marketing. I’ve read about Search Engine Optimization. I’ve read about making Google Profits with Ads and Pay Per Click. I’ve read about Affiliate Marketing. The question that came to my mind then was – “How do I make all these information to work for me? How do I start my online internet business?”

I realized then, that I need to find myself a mentor or coach to guide me in this Online Business Journey. Self study is fine if all I needed was just information. I need more than that. I needed a guide to show me how to put all this information to work.
